Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is poised to depart Tottenham Hotspur during the upcoming summer transfer window, as he no longer features in manager Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the club.

Despite an initially promising start to the season under Postecoglou’s management, Spurs’ title aspirations dwindled due to various reasons, including injuries. However, the Australian manager has steered the team towards contention for a Champions League spot with a well-balanced, youthful squad.

The midfield trio of Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, and Pape Matar Sarr has been instrumental in Spurs’ resurgence, leaving less room for Hojbjerg in the squad. Consequently, the club is preparing for a busy summer transfer window, with both incoming and outgoing transfers expected.

According to reports from Goal via Team Talk, Tottenham is open to offers for Hojbjerg to facilitate the arrival of new signings. The Danish midfielder, who has been a regular fixture in the team in recent years, has found himself marginalized under Postecoglou’s management.

Hojbjerg’s potential departure comes amid previous speculation linking him with a move away, with Juventus reportedly expressing interest in acquiring his services during the January transfer window.

Should Hojbjerg become available for transfer, Tottenham could pursue the acquisition of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, whose talents have caught their attention. Spurs’ interest in Gallagher has been widely reported, and his addition to the squad could offer a promising reinforcement to their midfield options.
