Manor Solomon Injury Update: Unlikely to Play Again This Season

Tottenham Hotspur’s acquisition of Manor Solomon generated excitement among fans, especially as he attracted interest from Premier League rivals like Aston Villa and West Ham United. However, it seems that Spurs supporters may have to wait until the 2024/25 season to see him in action, as the winger’s injury woes continue to sideline him.

Since his cameo appearance in September’s match against Liverpool, Solomon has been battling a meniscus injury that has severely limited his playing time. Despite undergoing a recent operation, his agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra, suggests that a return to action this season is unlikely. Instead, Solomon is focused on making a full recovery and being ready for the next campaign.Ben Ezra explained, “He underwent a small operation 10 days ago. In five, six weeks, he may start running again. (Solomon has had) a lot of bad luck. But it is better that he arrives ready for the next season. With God’s help, we will soon see him back on the grass.”The prolonged absence of Solomon has prompted Tottenham to bring in Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig. While the club has the option to make Werner’s move permanent, Solomon’s return to fitness could impact his future role within the squad, especially with other players capable of filling the left-wing position.Despite the setbacks, Ben Ezra remains optimistic about Solomon’s prospects, stating, “He works with the best people in the profession in the world. He is slowly starting to catch up. Let’s pray that this is his last injury, and he will come back stronger. Manor will know how to be ready for Tottenham next year. They are building with him and did not sign him for one year but for five years.”As Spurs look ahead to the next season, they will hope for Solomon’s full recovery and a successful return to the pitch in the near future.
