Leeds United may need to make a significant financial commitment to secure Joe Rodon’s permanent transfer from Tottenham.

According to sources, Tottenham is seeking a fee ranging between £10-15 million to part ways with the Welsh center-back next summer.

Despite interest from several Premier League clubs during the January transfer window, Spurs’ asking price deterred potential suitors.

Reliable insiders have indicated that Leeds manager Ange Postecoglou’s team is keen on securing Rodon’s services permanently. However, their ability to finalize the deal hinges on their promotion to the Premier League.

While Tottenham’s valuation would be within reach for Leeds if they achieve promotion, remaining in the Championship could pose a challenge in convincing Rodon to stay.

Rodon joined Elland Road on a season-long loan from Tottenham last summer, with the agreement not including an option to buy.

Looking ahead, Leeds could face competition from top-flight clubs for the 26-year-old’s signature after his impressive performances in the Championship this season.

Rodon has been a mainstay in Leeds’ defense, making 31 appearances across all competitions and contributing to 12 clean sheets in the league alone.

His presence has played a pivotal role in Leeds boasting the second-best defensive record in the Championship, trailing only league leaders Leicester City.
