Tottenham Ready ‘Huge’ Callum Hudson-Odoi Offer – Sources

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a significant offer for Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi before June 30th, according to sources cited by Football Insider.

On the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Forest might need to sell players before the end of the month to avoid breaching spending regulations. Hudson-Odoi, who joined Forest from Chelsea in a £5 million deal, could bring a substantial profit to the club if sold.

Spurs have long intended to sign a young attacking player this summer, and the 23-year-old Hudson-Odoi is among the targets being considered for the wide forward position. Hudson-Odoi is under contract with Forest until 2026.

Tottenham’s interest in Hudson-Odoi dates back to when he was regarded as one of England’s brightest young talents. After struggling to make a significant impact at Chelsea and experiencing an underwhelming loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen in the 2022-23 season, he has revitalized his career at Nottingham Forest. Hudson-Odoi scored eight goals in 29 Premier League appearances in the latest campaign. Reports suggest Forest are now looking for around £30 million for his transfer.

O’Rourke indicated that there will likely be interest from other Premier League clubs and top sides across Europe once the transfer window reopens. Forest may be compelled to sell players before the end of June to avoid another points deduction. The club needs to generate approximately £30 million in profit from player sales over the coming weeks to stay within financial regulations.
