Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly set a significant asking price for the permanent transfer of Bryan Gil, as revealed by the print edition of Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness.
As the transfer deadline approaches tonight at 11 pm, there is still a possibility of Gil leaving Hotspur Way, with many clubs expressing interest in the winger. However, Spurs have not yet made a move regarding the player.
Tottenham is open to a permanent sale of Gil but values the Spain international at €20 million (£17 million). If Gil departs on loan, he is inclined towards remaining in the Premier League and is attracted to the idea of joining Brighton on a temporary deal to prove himself in English football.
However, if Lazio wishes to sign the winger, it is believed they would need to include an obligation to buy in any loan deal.
In terms of opinion, it would benefit Gil to secure a loan move to an English side for a consistent run of matches in the Premier League, allowing him to showcase his ability to handle the physicality and intensity of the division. This move could also provide Tottenham with the opportunity to assess Gil’s performance before making a decision on his future.
