Tottenham Set to Secure Santiago Gimenez in Dual Transfer before May 19 following Recent Developments

According to John Wenham, Tottenham is on the brink of securing Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and Lutsharel Geertruida before their last Premier League fixture this season.

The host of the respected Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, Wenham, believes both players would be significant assets to Ange Postecoglou’s team. This speculation follows their appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the North London derby against Arsenal on April 28th (source: Football London, April 29).

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham hinted that a deal could be imminent, possibly even concluded before the final whistle against Sheffield United on May 19.

“Gimenez’s presence in an executive box caught my attention,” noted Wenham. “Additionally, it was intriguing to see the players themselves sharing photos, suggesting a close connection. I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs finalize both signings before the season ends, which would be a major coup. Gimenez, a prolific striker, has delivered impressive performances this year, while Geertruida’s versatility across defensive roles adds depth.”

Santiago Gimenez, a standout performer, has netted 21 goals in 29 Eredivisie outings this season, contributing significantly to Arne Slot’s side securing a UEFA Champions League spot. With both players potentially eyeing moves this summer, Postecoglou aims to strengthen his squad further with a combination of defensive versatility and attacking prowess.

Meanwhile, Simon Jordan has faced criticism for his disparaging remarks about a Tottenham player, deemed unwarranted by many observers.
