Tottenham Hotspur is making moves in the transfer market, with striker Alejo Veliz poised to join La Liga side Sevilla on loan until the end of the season.
Veliz, a 20-year-old Argentine, is traveling to Spain to undergo a medical and finalize the loan deal, which Spurs have agreed to with the assurance that he will receive regular playing time. The agreement does not include an option to buy.Since joining Spurs from Rosario Central in the summer, Veliz has yet to start a match, and the return of Dane Scarlett from a loan spell at Ipswich Town has potentially pushed him down the pecking order in manager Ange Postecoglou’s squad.Meanwhile, Tottenham is still awaiting a decision from Swedish wonderkid Lucas Bergvall, who is weighing his options between Spurs and Barcelona. However, a deal does not need to be finalized before the 11 pm deadline today.Spurs have already agreed on a deal with Djurgardens, valued at around £8.5 million, for the 17-year-old midfielder to move in the summer. Therefore, there is no immediate pressure for Bergvall to make a decision today.Bergvall recently visited Tottenham’s training ground but was in Barcelona last night, with both clubs vying for his signature in a bid to secure the promising teenager.
